Glory Gospel Church is seeking a talented and dedicated Audio Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Audio Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality sound production for our worship services, events, and various church programs. This position requires technical expertise, a keen ear for audio, and a passion for delivering an immersive audio experience to our congregation.

Glory Gospel Church’s mission is to maintain the public worship of Almighty God, to carry on a program of local evangelism, to edify the believers in the faith, and to propagate the Gospel throughout the world, according to the Bible, the inspired Word of God. In helping us fulfill this mission, we are looking for a dedicated Audio Engineer to join our team and help bring our mission to life.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain audio equipment, including mixers, microphones, amplifiers, and speakers.
  • Set up and tear down audio systems for worship services, rehearsals, events, and special programs.
  • Collaborate with musicians, singers, and speakers to achieve optimal sound quality during performances and services.
  • Conduct sound checks and monitor audio levels during rehearsals and live events to ensure balanced sound output.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to audio equipment, cables, and connections.
  • Assist in the selection and installation of new audio equipment and upgrades.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of audio equipment, ensuring proper storage and maintenance.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in audio technology and techniques.

Qualifications

  • A strong background in audio engineering, sound reinforcement, and live sound mixing.
  • Proficiency in operating audio equipment, including digital and analog consoles, signal processors, and audio playback systems.
  • Experience in setting up and operating wireless microphone systems.
  • Knowledge of acoustics and sound reinforcement principles.
  • Familiarity with different audio connectors, cables, and their applications.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with musicians, speakers, and technical staff.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and evenings, as required by church events and services.
