The Transportation Director at Glory Gospel Church will play a vital role in overseeing the maintenance, development, and effective utilization of our physical facilities. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities and a passion for ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our members and visitors.

About Glory Gospel Church

Glory Gospel Church’s mission is to maintain the public worship of Almighty God, to carry on a program of local evangelism, to edify the believers in the faith, and to propagate the Gospel throughout the world, according to the Bible, the inspired Word of God. In helping us fulfill this mission, we are looking for a dedicated Transportation Director to join our team and help bring our mission to life.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to ensure the safe and reliable transportation of church members and guests.
  • Manage and oversee a fleet of vehicles, including maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Coordinate and schedule transportation services for church events, services, and programs.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of drivers, ensuring their compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance logs.
  • Collaborate with church leadership and event organizers to assess transportation needs and provide efficient solutions.
  • Monitor transportation expenses and budget to ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures, including driver training and regular vehicle inspections.
  • Stay up-to-date with transportation regulations and industry best practices.
  • Resolve any transportation-related issues or concerns promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

  • A desire for transportation management, logistics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in transportation management, preferably in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with transportation management software.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
